Step-by-step

Connect hardware before launching the sim.
MSFS: Settings → Controls — assign axes, calibrate neutral.
X-Plane: Settings → Joystick — calibration and dead zones.
Disable duplicate drivers if axes drift.
Save profile and test in flight.
